Kevin Tostado – Producer, Director, Writer
Kevin Tostado is a native of San Diego, California and was a member of the inaugural class at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in Needham, MA. While in his senior year of college, he co-wrote and directed a full-length independent feature, Yellow Lights. This movie won “Best Feature” and “Best Cinematography” at Indie Fest USA as well as Telly & DV Awards.
Kevin later produced and directed an award-winning documentary about the game of Monopoly, those who play it, and how it has become a worldwide phenomenon, titled Under the Boardwalk: The MONOPOLY Story. The television version of the film won four Emmy awards from the Pacific Southwest NATAS Chapter, including Outstanding Achievement in Documentary, Directing, Editing, and Musical Arrangement/Composition. Other projects that Kevin has worked on as a producer include the comedy film Eternity: The Movie, which had a limited theatrical release in US & Canada, as an Associate Producer on the documentary SUDS COUNTY, USA, and as a Producer on the webseries Research. starring Barry Bostwick and Gabe Diani. Kevin is currently in development on several other projects, and has consulted on other features and documentaries.
Additionally, Kevin has worked on music videos, webisodes for NBC’s Heroes, Disney Channel commercials, videos for Stella Artois & MDA, and award-winning short films. Kevin has also been part of three successful Kickstarter campaigns, raising over $80,000 for projects.
